19 Jan’ 2005, Taj Lands Hotel, Mumbai:

Ritu Beri, India’s most famous face abroad when it comes to high end fashion, in association with D’damas and World Gold Council presented a celebration of nature and miracles, an exclusive tie up to unveil a signature line of ethno contemporary gold jewellery, christened, Amour, in a glittering ceremony at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai.

The fashion show was inspired by birds…opened by Bollywood star, Askhay Kumar, walking the ramp holding birds in his hands, which he freed on stage.

Ritu Beri gave wings to her creativity, inspired by the beauty of these birds. The result was a collection compromising of all hues of nature.

The flow of colours on fabrics like chiffons and georgettes, the crystal encrusted blouses with saris in rich laces, the playful dance of yards of layers of silk, all created a precious look which took the drams unfolding on the stage to a crescendo.

The ramp was on fire with the top models of India including Jessie Randhawa & Nina Manuel. Some of the other celebrities included Maliaka Arora Khan, Sanjay Suri & Darmesh Darshan.

Ritu Beri dedicated the revenues earned from the collection of this show to the Indian Prime Minter’s relief fund to help the Tsunami victims.
