Cassandra Fernandez of Sydney was in Johannesburg, South Africa in February 2008. Cassandra was the only entry in the last Miss India Australia contest who won 2 titles – Miss Cyber queen & Miss Photogenic titles. Johannesburg was also chosen, for the first time, to host the worldwide event. Cassandra Fernandez, from Sydney, won the Miss Personality award. Also in Johannesburg, this year Raj Suri, founder of Miss India Australia, was awarded the National Director of the year award. There was sightseeing to the world famous wildlife sanctuary and who could go to Johannesburg without visiting the home of the Nobel Peace Award laureate Nelson Mandela. All in 6 days!
