MUMBAI: India NRE Minerals Ltd, the flagship of Gujarat NRE Coke Ltd, was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on July 10. The debutant opened at 10% premium to the issue price of A$0.50, the company informed in a release to BSE.

The initial public offering of India NRE Minerals was oversubscribed. The IPO was for 30 million shares at Australian $ 0.50 each aggregating A$15 million.

“The money raised will go toward the creation and strengthening of mining infrastructure,” said Arun Kumar Jagatramka, vice chairman and managing director.

India NRE Minerals owns and operates NRE No 1 colliery, with resources of over 300 million tonne in the southern coalfields of New South Wales.

The object of the issue was to raise funds for the commencement of long wall mining with a view towards ramping up of production from the current 1 MT to over 4 MT per year.

Post-issue, Gujarat NRE Coke would continue to hold more than 90% stake in India NRE Minerals.

Business World magazine has ranked Gujarat NRE Coke third among best performing mid sized companies (Rs 100-500 crore category) in India.

At 10:51 AM, Gujarat NRE Coke share was up 1.31% at Rs 62.15. So far, the share has seen a high of Rs 63.40 and low of 61.10 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, with volume traded at 5,02,114 shares against two-week average of 4,39,507
